Back Pain

SUCCESS!!

            I fell on September 10th, 2009 and had pain in my lower back on the right side. On the left side I had a bruised shoulder, hip and knee. I went to the ER at Avista Hospital. They took x-rays of my back, knee, shoulder and hip showing that no bones had been broken. However, they did say that I had pulled muscles. Then I saw my Primary Care Doctor (MD) and no medication or treatment was given. I guess they thought that at 85 years old there was nothing that could be done.

            I suffered for about 11 more days before I saw Dr. Schnelle on September 21st.  By this time getting in and out of bed made me feel like my back was breaking. From the first day of seeing Dr. Schnelle and Jessica I could feel their concern and care for me. I have always felt comfortable coming for my treatments. It’s always a happy place. The only problem for me was getting on and off the adjustment table. Dr. Schnelle always helped me.

            After starting treatment I can now get in and out of bed pain free and have very little to no pain though out the day. I would recommend Dr. Schnelle to friends and family without hesitation. I thank him for making me better.

When I first came to Choice Chiropractic and Wellness Center my symptoms were lower back pain, upper back pain, and migraines.  I was also experiencing PMS symptoms such as bloating, cramping in my back and stomach, and retention of liquids. I had suffered with the back pain for a little over three years and my PMS symptoms for two years.

I had various kidney infections and was hospitalized various times. The medical doctors didn’t know where the infections where coming from but now I know everything was related.  I try to take care of myself and that’s why I don’t know where those infections came from. I took many medications such as Vicodin, Levaquin, and other antibiotics as well as other pain medication, which gave me no help. I honestly thought my back issues were a result of me not being active for a period of 8-9 months (because of my kidney infections) now I am not so sure.

Dr. Schnelle and his staff have treated me very well. I like the fact that I am feeling much better so quickly.  What I don’t like is having to stretch and ice (I sometimes forget) and not wearing high heels (I love them).

I have had great results from my very first visit, my headaches have minimized a great deal and my PMS symptoms have almost disappeared. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schnelle to anyone in need of care. It is like going to the spa except that instead of my skin it’s my back that’s getting nourished.

   After several months of osteopathic manipulation and not feeling relief of the pain in my lower back, I decided to come see Dr. Schnelle.  I had never been to a chiropractor before but I wanted to give this a try over drugs or surgery.  A thorough medical history and x-rays determined I have scoliosis and arthritis.  The treatment plan consisted of adjustments, heat and electrical stimulation and exercises that I do at home.  After about 3 months of treatment I was able to consistently notice a change for the better.  Although there are still good days and bad days, it has now been about 6 months and I feel I have about 75% improvement in frequency and severity of pain and some days I am even pain free.  
          It took years for my condition to develop so I know that it won’t completely go away over night, but I am pleased with the results so far.  I would definitely recommend trying chiropractic treatment before resorting to medication or surgery

A short time after showing up at Dr. Schnelle's office, barely able to walk, I was diagnosed and presented with a treatment plan. I improved with each treatment and within one month was feeling better than I had in over a year. Not only was my back pain improved, but I felt more energized and alive.           I first saw Dr. Schnelle in September 2008 because I had re-injured, over the summer, an old back injury from the 80’s that was never properly corrected.  I was in pain and needed help.
          I had suffered on and off for over 25 years.  I saw a chiropractor in the 80’s and he was able to get me out of pain but we never followed thru to correct the problem.
          I was treated excellent by the staff at Choice Chiropractic & Wellness Center.  I am out of pain and have full mobility.  Now I am chasing years of degeneration and trying to help that.  I have realized that just because I may no longer be in pain does not mean I have fully restored my health to the best it can be. The one and only thing I didn’t like about my care has been the required stretching.
          I am very happy with my results and have achieved my baseline objective.  Now I am trying to fix a long standing problem that has led to scoliosis. 
          I would highly recommend Dr. Schnelle.  He cares for his patients and truly wants the best for them.  He constantly checks up on you to make sure you are following his recommendations in order to encourage you to get the best results.

I first visited Dr. Schnelle’s office because of severe back and hip pain, as well as stiffness and compromised mobility. The condition had been worsening over a period of 18 months due to my sedentary occupation. I also have permanent nerve damage in my neck, dating back at least 10 years, which causes constant pain and stiffness. Basically, whether sitting, standing or lying down, I was in pain and could barely move!

 The only answer I had received from M.D.s was to take painkillers every day for the neck pain and Vioxx for the hip problem. Since over-medication was what caused the nerve damage to begin with, I wasn’t thrilled with that idea. I had great success with chiropractic treatment in the past, so I turned to Dr. Schnelle for help.

             I have to say that each visit to his office was a pleasure and not just for the pain relief it brought. His staff has always treated me with the utmost courtesy, friendliness and respect.  Dr. Schnelle himself is an outstanding practitioner who brings a passion to his work that I have honestly not found in any other healthcare provider. He has worked with me in finding the right exercises; he has dealt with my insurance company for me (always a plus!); he has been open to working within my financial constraints; and all of this with ready compassion and a smile. He never gave up on finding the answers.

            Most days, I am now pain-free. Walking is once more a pleasure, one that I thought was gone forever. I sleep well again, which improves my general health and mood and my posture has improved. Without the pain, I even look younger!

            I was fascinated to see the x-rays of my spine and to hear Dr. Schnelle’s explanation of what was going on with my back. It made it seem more manageable. Before that, doctors had always just cited “aging” as my complaint. Well, there’s no cure for that, so I had become very demoralized and depressed.

            It’s no exaggeration to say that Dr. Schnelle gave me back my joy in life. I would recommend him (and have) without reservation. I intend to continue traveling from Denver to Boulder for treatment from Dr. Schnelle. He’s worth it.

            What did I like least? That I couldn’t manage to visit more often.

When I first came in to see Dr. Schnelle in 2006, I was in pain related to a herniated disc.  I had been to the emergency room and the MD there ordered pain meds and muscle relaxants to combat my symptoms.  The drugs provided little to no help.  I suffered for several weeks until finally seeking care with Dr. Schnelle.

          The staff at Choice Chiropractic and Wellness Center is professional, courteous, and compassionate.  Dr. Schnelle’s sense of humor (tee hee!) and the great improvement I experienced in a short period of time was what I liked most about my care. 

          Receiving care at Choice Chiropractic and Wellness Center has steadily improved my quality of life. Dr. Schnelle is the best chiropractor I have ever seen and I highly recommend him to others.
